Familiarisation Trips

A successful visit is vital to a successful relocation. The key to this is gathering as much information as possible.  Once we understand your needs we prepare an individually tailored visit which includes a visit to your selected area where we will accompany you to familiarize you with your chosen location, view properties and set up school interviews.  People often come to us with set ideas based on limited knowledge or advice about moving to Scotland.  We can broaden their horizons, show them new possibilities and provide a much needed ‘reality check'.

Incorporating our Pre-Departure and Familiarisation Services and settling in support, Homesearch is a competitively priced, all in one package dedicated to solving the wide range of problems experienced by relocating employees. 

On receipt of a clear brief from the client including: the type of property required, price range, preferred area and anticipated length of stay.  We will then review and select appropriate properties for you to view.  We thoroughly inspect each potential property to ensure that only the most worthwhile properties are recommended for eventual viewing, and present the client with four to six different options to choose from. Family / Partner Support

Integrating families into their new home environment is an essential part of our service.  In addition to the information we provide during orientation visits, we have also launched a new Facebook Families page to supplement our popular regular coffee mornings aimed at helping partners and families make new friends and support networks. 

We have also built links to various family friendly organizations such as Scootkidz which identifies lots of activities for children and families, and we are longstanding members of a Theatre Group who now provide us with free tickets to many of their shows, which we are delighted to pass onto our families.

Temporary Accommodation

Finding you a home from home, usually in a serviced apartment where you can live as you want whilst you search for the perfect property.  Although a large proportion of our business is for clients requiring property in the rented sector, when the brief is to purchase we can offer further assistance by putting the client in touch with and supervising dealings with surveyors, solicitors and mortgage brokers, as well as advising on the realistic price a client should expect to pay for the property of his or her choice.
